Amazing: Chau Gong - Hypnotic Eye (32 inch)

This was my first ever gong purchase and prior to this, outside of recorded audio, I've only heard a gong in person one or two times. I don't really know what it was that drew me to want to purchase a gong. The sample videos fall so short of the amazing sound this thing produces. I purchased just to use in my home and for decorative purposes and myself and family love the sound so far, especially my 3 year old son. Even playing quietly the low tone/frequency has such a peaceful way of resonating around the house. This gong being 32 inches can get extremely loud if you beat on it and I doubt I will play it that loud very often but that is not a concern at all because the big size is what lets it create such a long lasting tone.

The hypnotic eye pattern is beautiful. I did not get it for any specific reason other than I found it the most interesting of all the chau gongs I looked at and I am not disappointed. It looks exactly as pictured. I also liked the mandala pattern but settled on this one.

Very happy overall and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get into gongs for home use, as this gong was one of the least expensive 32 inch gongs I could find while looking around.

The Hypnotic Eye Gong

This gong is so beautiful. It has so many tones, both low and high that really blend into the music it is being used with so well. It definitely adds to the drama of the music whether you are hitting it hard, using smaller mallets, or whatever you have in your hand. This is my favorite gong I have ever owned.
