For the price the Meinl TMWGS-L is a great gong stand. We suggest positioning the legs out to the right and left a little bit, to "firm up" the stand and avoid any swaying.

Gong stand

It is light enough for travel and easy to take apart and put back together. It looks good although would be nice to also have a lower cross bar as the stand sways quite a bit with a 40 inch gong … so far has been fine and can adapt. I previously had a metal stand and although it was more sturdy it was also heavier and more bulky which i did not like because I travel with it.

Squeaky Clean

Very clean zen like look to the stand, but it squeezed when I played it. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 2 is because I was able to fix the squeak by insulating the contact points with an old bike tube to

Flimsy

Very disappointed with this Gong stand. It does not feel sturdy or stable at all.
I would not use this piece of junk to hold up my valuable gong.
