Decent set.

After purchasing a 22 in. Wind gong, I went to YouTube to learn more and learned a bit about friction mallets. Now as a amateur percussionist I understand mallets can be a bit pricey for what appears to be something very simple. And friction mallets are no different. This simple set does the job for what my playing needs. We will be using this gong in music I have composed and performed with belly dancers. The sounds they create are very cool and add a lot to the overall soundscape in the music we play. They do take a few minutes to work with to get the sounds demonstrated in various videos. But they do he job and the pricing is competitive. If I were playing at a different level I would spend more and get a better set.

gong mallets

probably the best options for these kinds of sounds from gongs but the handles are too thin and 2 versions are probably all one needs
